SUPER MAGNETIC WINS VIEJAS ULTIMATE MUSIC CHALLENGE

Super Magnetic is pleased to announce that they have won the $25,000 grand prize at the annual Ultimate Music Challenge, held on the beautiful stage of the Dreamcatcher Showroom.  There were 11 weeks of competition with over 45 bands vying for the top spot.

“We just wanted to put on the most entertaining show possible,” said musical director and bassist Anthony Molinaro.  “We are honored to win this award among so many other talented Southern California bands.”

The competition was very stiff, with the winner being decided by only a few points.  Super Magnetic was able to edge the competition by combining tight execution with bombastic showmanship.  As always, the Super Magnetic show was off the charts with energy and kept the crowd spellbound for the entire 30 minute set.

A highlight of the night was Rebecca Jade’s incredibly moving rendition of “I’d Rather Be Blind.”  Ken Turner also whipped the crowd into frenzy during “For The Love of Money” and even scattered stacks of REAL one-dollar bills into the audience.  The crowd’s response truly proved the “money can drive some people out of their mind.”

When Super Magnetic ended their set with a version of “Higher Ground” that concluded with an on-stage “mosh pit,” it was clear that this band could not be defeated on this night.

The UMC experience was unbelievable and  Super Magnetic would like to thank Viejas Productions and the Viejas Tribe for their hard work in holding this event.Be on the look out for UMC 5!
